Founder of The Yoga Garden

Caitlin began practicing yoga 13 years ago, and in 2015, realized that yoga was more than just a practice on the mat. She began to see the capacity for yoga to be a way of living your life - a practice of loving-kindness.

In 2017 Caitlin attended Asheville Yoga Training Center for their immersive yoga teacher training. From this training she received so much more than just a firm foundation of asana practice, but also a greater understanding of the importance of how we interact with our loved ones, our community, and the world.

Her passion for teaching yoga stems from her genuine desire to help others find their path to wellness and live a more peaceful lifestyle. When off the mat, Caitlin is a Mom to three, a wedding and lifestyle photographer, and a lover of reading, running, hiking and biking.

Courtney discovered yoga’s incredible physical benefits when she began practicing 6 years ago, and in 2015 continued a consistent asana practice that made her soul feel more alive with every minute on the mat. From there, her desire to share yoga with others overflowed. 

After attending Asheville Yoga Center’s 200-hour teacher training in March 2017, Courtney realized her goal was to help others learn to love themselves by listening to their bodies, carving out space for self-growth, and cultivating inner peace and compassion with the intention of developing their best selves.

Her passion for teaching yoga comes from a desire to create a safe space which allows others to love themselves. Off the mat, Courtney enjoys reading, hiking, biking, playing tennis, and finding new music.

Michael Livingston is most notably Caitlin Livingston's other half, daddy-extrodinare, and person responsible for getting all things related to The Yoga Garden done. His helpful demeanor, committed personality and vast knowledge of a variety of subjects has made him an irreplaceable and necessary part of the team. 

When he is not managing the studio, Mike enjoys staying active in the community through sports leagues, working out, and raising his two talented sons Kolby and Krew as well as his beautiful daughter Camilla.

Certified Kids Yoga Instructor

Claire found her love for yoga 3 years ago.  She began taking classes to manage stress and find a peaceful workout.  Before long, she wanted to share this calm and empowerment with everyone she knew.

Claire is a first grade teacher in Clarksburg, West Virginia.  In 2016, she began teaching the children in her class simple yoga poses and incorporating mindfulness into her classroom.  Before she knew it, she saw a significant change in the way her students’ managed their emotions and saw their excitement to learn more about yoga.

This change led her to pursue a Kidding Around Yoga certification in 2017 to grow her knowledge of how little bodies find their calm.  Outside of teaching, Claire loves to read, ride bikes, search for great coffee, and spend time with family and friends.

Erica Seaver-Engel

Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher

Erica has worked in outdoor education throughout the United States, and began practicing yoga about 10 years ago as a stress-reliever while in Washington State. Yoga became her refuge during/after years of physically and mentally demanding work. Four years ago she moved to Uniontown with her husband, 2 adopted dogs, loads of outdoor gear ... and her yoga mat. 

In 2015, Erica was drawn to The Himalayan Institute in Pittsburgh (HIP) and the Himalayan Tradition of hatha yoga. She committed to HIP's 10-month training and earned her 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher certification in 2016. She experienced that hatha yoga's systematic, holistic practices offer profound benefits to the modern mind, body and spirit. 

"As we experience these benefits, we change our world," Erica says. "I practice yoga to return to my Self. I share hatha yoga -- postures, breathwork, meditation, relaxation and lifestyle practices -- so others may return to themselves. To remind us that we are enough. More than enough. Today. In this moment."

Licensed Esthetician and Massage Therapist 

Tascha grew up in Uniontown, with a profound love for exploring the world and creating new adventures. Having owned a spa for 7 years, then taking a hiatus to raise her two incredible children, she is eager to help people relax and enjoy the peaceful and fulfilling experience of massage and facials.

With a strong desire to help other's needs on a individual basis, building relationships and getting to know her clients on a personal level holds the upmost importance. When she's not at home raising and teaching her two little blessings, Tascha enjoys being crafty, taking photographs, shopping at target, running, and spending quality time with her family.

Richelle Blackburn

licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician

Richelle was born and raised in Wheeling, WV. With a passion to help people feel better, she pursued massage therapy after high school at Penn Commercial 10 years ago. She worked for a chiropractor's office in Washington, PA for 5 1/2 years before having her first son and moving to Uniontown, PA.

After moving to Uniontown, Richelle went to Laurel Business Institute where she majored in Esthetics and later that year had her second son. After working for herself and other spas, she found her place at The Yoga Garden. Specializing in lymphatic drainage, hot stone massages, and balancing energies, Richelle loves to serve our community.

Shanna Humphrey

Yoga Teacher

Shanna began regularly practicing yoga 2 years ago to help with being mentally present and to gain skills in stress management. When her grandfather passed away in June 2017, yoga provided an outlet for her to work through her grief and conform her belief in yoga as a tool for both mental and physical strength. Through that process Shanna realized she wanted to be able to share this knowledge with others and began taking steps to become a yoga teacher. She is currently working towards her 200 hour RYT certification.

Shanna moved to Uniontown with her husband in 2015. She has a Masters degree in Gerontology and also volunteers with a local hospice. Shanna is seeking certification as an End of Life Doula to learn additional ways to provide support to people at the end of life. She hopes to use her education and experience to extend the practice of yoga to people in all stages of life and to help other's find ways to integrate their yoga practice into their lives outside of the studio. When not on a yoga mat, Shanna enjoys cuddling with her 4 rescue dogs, traveling with her husband and continuing work on renovating their school bus into a RV/Skoolie.

Yoga & meditation Teacher

Crystal has been practicing yoga and meditation for the last 5 years. She added these to her self care practice after adopting a plant based diet 6 years ago which ushered in a complete transformation of her mind, body and soul.

Crystal is also the owner and operator of Strandz hair salon and mother of 3, so yoga and meditation help her stay grounded and connected with such a hectic, scheduled life! Teaching and connecting with like mind people brings Crystal so much joy. Her desire to help others get in touch with their inner self, stems from wanting everyone to be happy and healthy!

Off the mat Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband AJ and their kids, working out, writing, camping, and hosting parties!

Kristin Phillips

RYT-200 Yoga Teacher

Kristin took her first yoga class as a teenager at the local YMCA in central Pennsylvania where she grew up. She had practiced yoga on and off over the years until committing to herself and a regular practice in 2016 when she moved to Morgantown, West Virginia. This consistent practice made her realize how beneficial yoga could be to all aspects of life. She wanted to share this with others and so she earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2017.

Kristin is also a physical therapist and has a passion for health and total body wellness. Kristin loves guiding others through mindful movement and helping them connect with their bodies. Off the mat and out of the studio, she enjoys walking her dogs, traveling, and reading a good book.
